The Negroamaro Zero is a medium-bodied red wine from the Southern Italian region Apulia – the heel of Italy. Negroamaro is both the name of the wine and the name of the grape varietal, which is indigenous to Apulia, finding its best expression in the Salento sub-region. It’s a ripe and fruity wine, with a hint of black pepper reminiscent of some Rhone Valley blends.
Cantine Menhir is located in Minervino di Lecce, in the “heel of Italy”, Apulia region. The winery was founded by Gaetano Marangelli, and is quickly gaining a reputation for producing excellent wines which reflect the unique character of Salento. This region is one of the most picturesque corners of Italy, right on the Adriatic Sea, not far from Greece. The winery focuses on indigenous grape varietals producing wines such as Negroamaro, Salice Salentino, Malvasia, Verdeca, and Primitivo.
